We might be hot off the heels of the 2012 North American International Auto Show, but that isn't stopping Infiniti from looking ahead to what's next. The luxury automaker is taking no time for quick breath. Instead, they're charging right ahead to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, and we here at Beshoff Infiniti have the inside scoop just for you!
More specifically, Infiniti is planning to up the ante in the world of electric vehicles at the show. What does this mean? In terms of specifics (Name, powertrain, performance, etc..), Infiniti has been keeping a tight lid. What they have confirmed, however, is that the new EV will be a performance-driven, electric sports car concept.
Thus far, the company has leaked a teaser image online. It's hard to not stir up images of asphalt-tearing power when gazing upon it, and Infiniti is claiming that the main focus of the project is, in fact, performance rather than fuel economy. This means that while the company is aiming to release a truly remarkable electric vehicle, we shouldn't expect this one to be yet another yawn of a green car.
So will Infiniti prove that performance and green power can really go hand-in-hand? We'll simply have to wait for the show to find out. In the meantime, feel free to leave us a comment and let us know what you think!
