Infiniti Invests More in Chinese Market

The people at Infiniti know that it only makes sense to invest where the action is, and as of late, China has proven itself to big a rather large player in the luxury market. That's why the Japanese automaker is planning to relocate parts of its headquarters to Hong Kong. More specifically, they're moving some 100 employees in the relams of marketing and communications to the region, so that they can closely monitor the success of vehicles within the market.
We here at Beshoff Infiniti think that this is a brilliant move, as it could spell more growth and development for the vehicles we love. Furthermore, they can also gain valuable feedback from an emerging market, and that feedback can be used to enhance the vehicles that we know and love. So, really, it's a win-win situation.
According to Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President of Infiniti's parent company, "We see an opportunity to reinforce Asian hospitality within the Infiniti brand, distinct from both Nissan and out facing luxury competitors. We are proud to be the only automaker that will call Hong Kong home."1
Infiniti sees this new location as a sort of central command for each of the world's markets. Palmer went on to explain that the new headquarters will allow them to better track the luxury market trends in markets like North America, Europe, China and South East Asia, and leave them better prepared to offer drivers what they want in the future.
