This a series of Infiniti enthusiast spotlights. This month we feature Bahadir Bedenlier of Half Moon Bay. His choice of car is a Infiniti 2008 G37S Coupe in Obsidian Black with Graphite leather
What do you do Bahadir?
I am a Graphic Designer and right now, working for a winery in Central Coast, California. But I live in the Bay Area so I have to drive to Central Coast once a week. I've been doing this about four years now. As you can imagine, that's lot of driving and mileage on my car. But I love to ride. Funny thing is that I still don't think that I get enough of driving so I cruise a lot around the Bay Area.
Why did you choose the G37S Coupe?
When I was in the market for a new ride, I wasn't thinking about the Infiniti brand at all. I am really into German cars. I've always been. But when I sat in a G37 Coupe at a car show in San Francisco, I knew I wanted to own one. The G37 is an exceptionally good car. There are four factors that are important to me when I have to make a buying decision on a car: performance, technology, quality and style. It always been hard for me to find a car that has that perfect combination of these 4 important factors, but the G37 delivers.
What inspired you to tune your car?
I really enjoy things that go fast. Of course as long as it's safe to do so. I enjoy modifying cars not only to make them go faster but also make them to fit in to my personality. A person can buy the fastest or most powerful car in the world and call it a day. But where is the fun in doing that? It's not just all about power or speed. It's also about giving your own personal taste and style to the things you enjoy or care. We do this subconsciously on a daily basis in our lives. We get a certain hair cut or wear clothing in varying styles or colors. Funny thing is that we all do start modding our cars before we even make the purchase. Picking a color for your new ride is the very first and the simplest mod that you do in my opinion. That color choice reflects our taste and personal preference to ourselves and to our surroundings we live in.
Why did you choose Beshoff Infiniti for your project?
Beshoff is a really mod friendly dealership which is really rare to find in my opinion. Matter of fact, is the only one that I know of so far in Bay area. But the most important factor for me is the attention to detail that Beshoff provides. Regardless of the size of that job needs to be done on my car; Beshoff provides exact same high quality service in every time. Also most of the staff here are true car enthusiasts. Therefore, they share the passion and understand needs of the customers like myself.
Tell us about your mods
Most obvious upgrade on the exterior is the Stillen Body Kit and Volk G10 19" Wheels. I also added KW Variant 3 Coilovers suspension with a .8 inch drop. Invidia Gemini True Dual Full Catback Exhaust with Rotora brake rotors. Some other minor upgrades like Magden Computer, Camber Kit, GTSPEC braces, etc.
What's the next upgrade?
I really like to get the Stage 2 Twin Turbo upgrade on this car. It will be really big performance upgrade for sure. But for now, there are no big plans for anything other than few small modifications to the interior and exterior. I am also considering getting a Stillen 3rd Gen. Dual intake kit.
What is your favorite road?
I have two favorite routes that I like to take a ride often. First one is a combination of Highway 35 Skyline and Highway 84. This is really smooth and scenic route that lots of drivers and bikers enjoys riding it every day. My second favorite road is Highway 46 West down in Central Coast, the section between Paso Robles and Cambria. There are also some side roads around 46 which I really do enjoy to ride as well.
What is your dream car?
It has not been built yet.
Thank you for your time today Bahadir, one last question- What was Tiger Woods thinking?
I don't know what he was thinking...but I do know what he was thinking with!
